About DM-TEP
We seek to provide adult learners in Davis Montessori Teacher Education Program with knowledge, skills, and understanding of state requirements to teach in a public or private Montessori early childhood (Preschool – Ages 2.5 through 6) classroom. DM-TEP offers an intensive 7 week summer course--in which the first two weeks are delievered online. This hybrid format accomodates adult learners to maximize their time by completing synchronous and asychronous work; and allows coursework to be arranged around other responsibilities they might have. A nine month internship follows summer coursework. During this internship, there will be monthly workshops held on a weekend to serve as a continued support and learning for the summer cohort. DM-TEP operates on an annual basis which allows an adult learner to enter at the beginning of summer and complete the training at the beginning of summer the following year. DM-TEP
